Should I watch 'It Follows'?

Robin Kestrel - 2016-04-18

I liked it. It had style and atmosphere that are missing from a lot of mainstream modern horror.

I was blown away by how good it was.
It Follows and The Guest were two of the most surprisingly great horror/thriller movies I've seen in the past couple years.

I would add to Robin's analysis that it was brilliantly written, not only is the acting fantastic, but they act like "real teenagers" as opposed to the over-the-top fluffballs that define the genre. The premise was extremely original. The pacing, editing and camerawork were all fantastic. Just a supergood movie.

David R. Mitchell has made one other feature length teen film, a drama, that I haven't seen yet but I really want to. One of those guys that you hope doesn't burn out or sell out too soon.

Some favorite recent horror films for me would include The Babadook, Goodnight Mommy, When Animals Dream, and Crimson Peak. I also loved Ex Machina and thought that it was as much horror as sci-fi.

I was surprised how many clips there are of dogs doing just this thing. Apparently it's a common dog perceptual problem. There is another one, almost as amusing, where the dog will try and hide from you by standing behind a tree. All dog owners know what I am talking about: you see a tree, and a big dog body sticking out of the side. The only part of the dog you can't see is his head. Because he figures, if he can't see you, well then you can't see him no?

Pet frustration week.

I love dogs. So dumb and so happy!

Sanest Man Alive - 2016-04-18

We're so sorry, dogs. You're wonderful, loyal, goofy creatures, and you'll all die out when we're gone, no exceptions.

Gmork - 2016-04-18

How do you figure? Pugs and such, sure, but you must not be aware of the fact that wild packs of dogs seem to be thriving all over the world.

poorwill - 2016-04-18

By living off human waste, mostly.

SolRo - 2016-04-19

some breeds will do fine in the cities where the climate matches their inbreeding.

SolRo - 2016-04-19

apparently there are wild packs of Chihuahuas in the LA area now

Imagining dog skeleton in yard with stick still in its mouth.

boner - 2016-04-18

And then future dog is stuck because he's holding the femur of the first dog.

memedumpster - 2016-04-18

Dog skeleton hanging from low branch that tree would not let go of would also be common.

Killer Joe - 2016-04-18

Poor consternated dog.
