We're nearly to the end of season 2, and I think Chuck is on the way out, with little remaining use to the plot (since he's no longer in a position where he can merely loom as a disapproving figure). So I say the deal with Chuck's "allergy to electronics" is, that's his subconscious way of resolving his big dilemma. On the one hand, he considers the law "sacred", and he loves practicing law. On the other hand, given what he has done to Jimmy, he realizes that he is no longer worthy to practice law by his own standards. The "allergy to electronics" is his subconscious resolution: it prevents him from practicing law (for the most part), plus it serves as a punishment for his unethical behavior.

I'm enjoying Better Call Saul more than Breaking Bad.

Naw, Chuck is in it for the long haul. He has his own character arc to fulfill, and he's been set up as the main antagonist for later in the series. He still has A LOT that he can do to Jimmy and he's got a lot to overcome. Eventually, Jimmy will kill Chuck, because that's the direction the story seems to be going.

I certainly shouldn't underestimate Vince Gilligan, but Chuck seems to have every intention to lash out at Jimmy with everything he's got. He's got a lead on demonstrating that Jimmy committed fraud with Ernesto to back him up; and even if he can't prove the fraud charge, he'll make sure HHM is watching Jimmy like a hawk.

This has me more convinced Odenkirk helps with the writing on this show.

He does! I read somewhere that the script called for him to merely say that he sits in pies, but Odenkirk felt some names for the deed were in order.

As for this particular crybaby squat cobbler, I imagine him dressed like a wealthy little boy from 1900, something like Tim-Tom and Kevin. Holding one of those big spiral lollipops. Sitting in pie and crying.

It's been confirmed that there's a video of the defendant in question performing the aforementioned sexual act, and they're reserving it for later in the series.

Bob Odenkirk is a fucking saint.

My god, what a show. I can't wait to see this season when I can binge stream it. I liked the first season better than any given season of Breaking Bad, and I'm not one of those people who turned up his nose at Breaking Bad either.

Yeah, I'll admit, before it came out, I was just another guy saying, no way can Bob Odenkirk carry a dramatic show as a character originally written as secondary (which he doesn't, Mike/Jonathan Banks and his parallel storylines take up a substantial amount of screen time), it's going to be a bunch of "Oh ha ha! Remember this character or incident from Breaking Bad? Ha ha!...we're totally out of ideas, aren't we?" It's a different show, one that stands alone by itself, funnier and less violent. It might actually be better for people that haven't seen BB because they don't know who is still alive and/or relevant in that context.

Also, w.r.t. this video, there's more context here, I just didn't think anyone wanted to see an 8-minute video: https://youtu.be/GaHNB7DUm8g
