Looks better than the sequels.

fedex - 2016-04-08

I'll see it

Simillion - 2016-04-09

mark hamil is having a stroke

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-08

Oh Star Wars,
Nothing but Star Wars,
Give me those Star Wars,
Dont let them end.
Oh Star Wars,
If they should bar wars,
Please let these Star Wars
Stay.
And hey, how 'bout that nutty Star Wars Bar,
Can you forget all those crazy creatures in there?
And hey, Darth Vader in his black and evil mask,
Did he scare you as much as he scared me?
Oh Star Wars,
Those near and far wars,
Oh STAAAR WAAAAAAARS!"

Cena_mark - 2016-04-08

Jaws was never my scene and I don't like Star Wars.

Sanest Man Alive - 2016-04-08

For you, Cena. Let us cling together.

The Mothership - 2016-04-08

Many purists.... died inside..... when given this information.

fedex - 2016-04-08

BHWW - 2016-04-08

WELL, I'M A REBEL! I'M SUPPOSED TO REBEL, MOM AND DAD! YOU DON'T GET IT, YOU DON'T GET ANYTHING AT ALL!

Hooker - 2016-04-08

That line pisses me off like crazy.

Born in the RSR - 2016-04-08

Still waiting for Kyle Katarn to make his movie debut.

Seven Arts/H8 Red - 2016-04-08

Soon Bayts needs his own film. His small measure of reputation must swell until he explodes in the consciousness of the populace.

BHWW - 2016-04-08

Disney/Marvel presents: Team based computer generated high budget moviefilm by the numbers whose sole purpose is to set up conditions for the next film ad infinitum: Space Wars edition

That guy - 2016-04-08

Right?

GQ - 2016-04-08

Actually this one's a direct prequel to episode 4

SolRo - 2016-04-08

can someone explain what "team based" is supposed to be insulting?

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-08

A camel is a horse designed by committee, you godless communist.

StanleyPain - 2016-04-08

If by "set up the next film" you mean, "setting up a film that has already existed for over 30 years"

ashtar. - 2016-04-08

I don't understand your point. Camels are very efficiently adapted to their environment. So... committees are good at designing things?

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-09

That's b/c you never smoked one, lackey American running dog. They were always the stalest pack on the shelf.

Xenocide - 2016-04-09

Yes, "team based" movie. Unlike the previous movies, which were all hand-crafted from a single block of wood by George Lucas, working all alone in his down-home movie shop. Just microbrewed, artisinal movies.

George shot every scene by himself, composed all the music, and played every role. George Lucas as Luke Skywalker. George Lucas as the Death Star. George Lucas as the anxious military squid. Truly it was a golden age, before someone realized more than one person could work on a movie.

GQ - 2016-04-09

Well, he did direct and write those last three of his on his own. WAit, didn't we all agree that was one of the biggest problems in those? A collaborative effort isn't a bad thing. And after the original came out, the series has always just been a commercial juggernaut. It's just now the films can be made by a well-crafted team instead of George Lucas' latest whim

wtf japan - 2016-04-08

I'm ok with this.

Chocolate Jesus - 2016-04-08

hi

Quad9Damage - 2016-04-08

Mon Mothma!

Jaguar Wong - 2016-04-08

I'm just so tired of all these star wars.

Doc Victor - 2016-04-08

All these stars for mark hamill's face in the follow up loader

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-08

Yes, I'm glad I stuck it out to the end, that was magical. You can see how much he is struggling not to palm his face.

memedumpster - 2016-04-08

Proof Ron Swansons aren't born, they're made.

Simillion - 2016-04-09

Mark looks like he was lobotomized.

betamaxed - 2016-04-08

I saw donnie yen hit someone with a stick and there was Forest Moon Whitaker. I'm easy to please so I'll be seeing this.

betamaxed - 2016-04-08

If we're lucky this will be the Star Wars equivalent of "Kommando Leopard"

Is she one of the many Bothans that died to bring us this information?

Two Jar Slave - 2016-04-08

MON MOTHMA IS A DRAMATICALLY CHARGED CHARACTER WHOSE APPEARANCE WE WESTERNERS ANTICIPATE FEVERISHLY

Albuquerque Halsey - 2016-04-08

It looks fun

StanleyPain - 2016-04-08

Looks cool to me. I always thought that SW was a franchise basically born to make side-films from. The main story of the Skywalker peoples and such are fine, but let's see some other stuff too.

Plus, Donnie Yen vs. Stormtroopers is pretty much part of my teenage fanfic dreams.

StanleyPain - 2016-04-08

Oh, and I would also like to point out that one of the most amazing things in this trailer is the brief space shot we see of the Death Star and the Star Destroyers. If that isn't CGI being made to look INTENTIONALLY like handmade models from the original SW era, then it better damn well actually *be* a model because that's some amazing visuals.

Xenocide - 2016-04-09

I want a SW movie that's not about a human.

I want to see some of those space muppets solve mysteries and shit.

Yoda and Greedo in, "The Case of the Purloined Parsec."

jangbones - 2016-04-08

watching people express opinions on the internet is never not sad

also

watching people express opinions on the internet is never not hilarious

StanleyPain - 2016-04-08

opinions are for fags

That guy - 2016-04-09

Have you both fallen inside or outside the scope of your own comments?

chumbucket - 2016-04-08

The next detail that wasn't detailed in the films spinoff film should likely be the backstory of Garindan. Why he became a spy for the empire on Tatooine and what became of him after the falcon got away anyway...and why anyone would ever care.

And yes, this kind of thing can go on for ever and ever.

chumbucket - 2016-04-08

Title Suggestion: "DB-94: A(nother) Star Wars Story"

memedumpster - 2016-04-08

This looks like a pretty decent fan film.

I wish they'd found fans that looked like they actually wanted to act in it though, usually the acting is better in fan films.

Oh, I bet the Star Trek Renegades crew (with Sean Young!) could have helped these guys out a lot. They had energy.

BHWW - 2016-04-08

The Disney plan for Star Wars is apparently DEATH STAR, OTHER DEATH STAR, SUCH DEATH STAR, ALL YOUR BASE ARE DEATH STAR.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-08

It will be interesting to see how many times Disney can remake episode 4 before the fans get tired of it. This will probably work far beyond what I could reasonably predict would be the limit. There's a certain genius to that, I will admit.

memedumpster - 2016-04-08

A solid one hundred years of movies recycling the same story of good rising up and slaying evil which rises up and slays good which rises up and slays evil with all of the cast aging and coming back for their death scenes alongside the next set of new cast. Generations of humans raised on this as the carrier wave mythology of their conscious bias. They will never form a personality outside of the Monomyth.

The first actual meme animals. A bonerfide information life form that devours from the environment and reproduces through time. When there are more than one of those, they will wage war in the human mind.

The herd instinct will be hijacked by the photophonophores and our common fear, hatred, and territoriality will drive the alpha motor neurons of a billion apes to bring death to one another for their god-animals. For Star Wars, the Great and Crushing God.

They will take this war across all minds and all stars until the heat death of the universe.

Pre-order metempsychosis today!

memedumpster - 2016-04-08

Don't worry, though, I am betting that just when things look darkest, the Doctor Who Franchise will save us.

Star Trek basically drank itself to death long ago.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-08

My "new hope" is that somehow hollywood will have the balls to take one of Phil Dick's excellent novels and commit it to film without ruining it, as they have done with every prior attempt save "Blade Runner" ( which only worked because they brought Phil on board at the last minute to doctor the script ).

Starting with "The Divine Invasion". A solid treatment of that story would entirely change people's perceptions of what is possible in the genre of Sci-Fi.

Also: what the hell are you smoking today, and why don't you share some?

fedex - 2016-04-09

man, you really are a memedumpster

BHWW - 2016-04-09

Star Wars 9 will feature another Death Star Killer, that fills an entire planet but get this...the planet has three moons which have also been transformed into Super Duper Death Stars.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-09

I also much like that Star Wars is being versioned like an operating system. Perhaps it _is_ an OS. The mind, it reels.

Sanest Man Alive - 2016-04-10

Total Recall was better than We Can Remember That For You Wholesale.

Callamon - 2016-04-08

I have a few issues.

First and biggest, why are non of the clips about ROGUE ONE dog fighting? I was pretty much ready for Top Gun in space when I heard about a Rogue One movie.

I know this was in production before they realized how awesome poe was but I feel they should have ditched mopey teen girl and made the movie about him.

At this point I have little to no interest to see a side story set in the original trilogy, get on with it already.

GQ - 2016-04-09

No Poe cause he wasn't even born yet in the timeline

Callamon - 2016-04-09

ties in with my third point. I don't give a shit about who stole the plans for the death star.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-09

I'm more concerned about the moisture farmer's trade dispute with the Mos Eisley city council. There's a least a trilogy in that alone.

Hugo Gorilla - 2016-04-08

No Boba Fett yet so only five stars.

CIWB - 2016-04-08

The only thing more embarrassing than nerds who irrationally love Star Wars is nerds who irrationally hate Star Wars.

That guy - 2016-04-09

false

poorwill - 2016-04-09

This looks v. bad outside the designs/sets/effects etc.

That guy - 2016-04-09

It SAYS "Star Wars" on it, what else do you want?

TheGrungle - 2016-04-09

the death star is the dumbest thing in the sw universe who cares

is this what people think of when they think star wars now. grey and white walls
