It was weird. There were two times I was in jail, neither of which I was charged for. First time was because I was in Seattle during the WTO protests and got rounded up with everybody else. I didn't even know what a WTO was, I was just looking for my friends. I got a ham sandwich which I gave to the guy in the next cell, who was convicted for murder I think and didn't get a sandwich. But I asked them if I could get something without meat and they told me to fuck off. I was let out the next morning and wasn't charged but was hungry as fuck and pissed off.
Second time, I was leaving a bar on my bike and accidentally slipped off, in front of two cop cars. I had only had 2 beers and was only a few blocks from home but they threw me into the drunk tank: being sober in the drunk tank sucks. But there were plenty of very drunk people in there. People with their pants half down pissing themselves or waking up to puke on the cold cold floor, and they just gave everyone a plastic cup of oatmeal. No water. So, being sober I asked the guy for water for the guy pissing himself, and he threw me in solitary for the rest of the night! Again, got out the next morning and went to the bar because I needed a drink after that one. :(

That dudes rich enough to have meat and cheese? When I was in prison outside of Boston they made this and would throw whatever sauce they could steal from lunch, I was only in for a week but some of the lifers told me that it was almost always made with ketchup.
By far it was the grossest thing I've ever eaten but it was real nice when all you've had was one egg in the morning and the big guy next to you steals your lunch every day.
