I accidentally submitted just the track by itself. The replacement link is the actual opening credits with the song over it, please upvote it.

Done!

I like the song and the montage, but it doesn't work for me most other Bond openings do.

I'm a fan of RH, but their opening just doesn't work with Bond. In my opinion a good bond opening tune needs a very strong vocal not drowned out by other things, and something very heroic and lyrical. Maybe something painful like Skyfall or The Writing's on the Wall, or something as a fuck you like Live and Let Die or Casino Royale. The vocal should represent the larger than life stature of Bond, and this piece just doesn't do that. If it was a different opening with stronger vocals that aren't drowned out by the instruments then maybe. It just doesn't work as Bond, though, as is.

I re-listened to the winning theme for Spectre:

It's extremely Bond. And to me it worked very well.

Oh and I mean "You Know my Name" by Chris Cornell, not the original Casino Royale even though that was pretty cute and clever.

I feel like most Father John Misty songs would go well with Bond openings

That was a neat song though! He's got quite a vocal range whoever he is. I'll be honest I kind of got tired of Radiohead back in 2000 or so when everybody in college was wearing the shirts or had the stickers and pretended like they liked Kid A because it was a Radiohead album and not because they liked the IDM direction they were going, and then going back to Phish and Sublime or whatever. It was just annoying because I was the 18 year-old kid with the Autechre and BoC CDs and everybody hated it at parties but loved dancing to Idioteque.. :/

You can either go the route of picking the latest grammy award winning pop star or pick a relative unknown to perform it. In this case, they picked the right guy and his vocal range is great. I never even heard of him until then.
