No, don't get me wrong, I'm okay with kids horribly embarrassing themselves on the internet.

Well, I'm not, actually, but my mid-90s level of internet security about one's personal details is roundly and completely rejected by every kid that I try and give some advice to.

So there seems to be nothing I can do to sink in the whole 'this stuff is going to be around forever, and jerks will try to use it against you later, when you might look back and regret it' notion.

So I've basically given up on trying. Even my younger sister, who's only four years younger than me, has pretty lax internet security, despite my years of advice at an early age to her, simply because of the continual erosion of such security as the internet culture has shifted.

It's just the sound of his VOICE. Kids, particularly young boys, sound like fucking rusty nails scraping my eardrums, when I hear them over the internet. It's not as bad in person. I don't know what it is.

Feminists do act all gamergatey from time to time, like the "don't tell women what to do" bullshit, as if expressing opinion is an attempt to exercise political power. I don't understand or care much about the particulars of this kid's all-important "opinion".The sense of entitlement is dead on.

But if feminists act "gamergatey", then why even call it "gamergatey"? Why not say that Gamergaters act "feministy" from time to time? Or, better yet, find a new word, a less harmful word, a word which accurately encompasses everyone without marginalizing or singling out a specific group?
