The girl Rebecca hugs at 1:31 is her 12 year old self. I get a little weepy right there. The episode ends with both Rebeccas sitting together on the couch having a heart to heart. Grown up Rebecca tells 12 year old Rebecca that she's going to go to Harvard and Yale, but 12 year old Rebecca just wants to talk about when those tits will be coming in.
I honestly don't think I've been this obsessed with a TV show since Twin Peaks. I can certainly understand someone not being all that into it. I can understand why someone wouldn't like Twin Peaks. But anyone who doesn't think it's a good show becomes invisible to me.

I guess boy bands had to come back sometime, there were many of them, and then music seemed to go to the individuals, like the Justins.
What you describe sounds a little like the Freaky Friday movie that was just running, not on CW though, but one of the movie channels. In Freaky, the mom and her daughter have their personalities swap, and they get to live as each other to see what it's like, to gain greater understanding in the end.

This is just a musical fantasy thing. The episode begins with a flashback of Rebecca at twelve. She threw a party with some friends to watch a boy band concert on Pay Per view. (It was the 90s, of course) And before the concert started, her parents got in a fight and her dad walked out.
And so, 14 years later, Rebecca throws a party, hoping to get Josh to come, and her traumatic experience the last time she had a party ois referenced. the fantasy Josh boy band, Rebecca hugging her 12 year old self (they also sing a duet), it represents the fact that it goes pretty well, and that's kind of therapeutic for her.
Here's the whole episode streaming. Don't know for how long.
