How is Die Hard Japanophobic? Mr. Takagi is a very nice man who treats his employees well and throws nice big company parties! And unlike many CEOs he would sacrifice himself in the hopes of saving the underlings. He wasn't exactly climbing up trees and shouting "Donger Need Food.."

Sixteen Candles is a really shitty film.

I prefer Contact, where the Japanese basically build a space portal because American terrorists blew our space portal up, thus ensuring our first contact with an extraterrestrial race played by Jodie Foster's dad. I would have liked it more if they had more of a part in that film.

Karate Kid 2 however, is the counterpart we really need for this thread.
