oh my fucking god no
I knew I didn't watch this show for a reason.

That guy - 2015-09-05

I actually had to look this up to make sure it wasn't a prank or some shit...

Jack Dalton - 2015-09-05

This episode was actually funny if I remember correctly--the x-files was great when it didn't take itself too seriously.

It was a fun show.

Old_Zircon - 2015-09-05

It's hilarious but if you watch the interviews with the people involved it's not at all clear that they realized it was funny.

mon666ster - 2015-09-05

I loved the show but never watched the last few seasons. Suddenly I feel validated.

Aelric - 2015-09-05

This wasn't from the last two seasons, which were the infamously bad seasons. This was the nadir of an otherwise alright season.

I'll agree with with Jack Dalton above a bit. The funny episodes, like the black and white Frankenstein Cher musical episode or the hillbilly vampire episode were great because it cut the tension of a show that otherwise took itself pretty seriously. That is what I think they intended with this one, but failed hard. Still, got to see Krista Allen's ass in a thong on network TV, so it wasn't all bad for teenage me.

Old_Zircon - 2015-09-05

I never used to make it past season 6, which is mostly not so good with a couple exceptions, but season 7 is surprisingly good, way more fun "monster of the week" type episodes. I'm committed to finally seeing the whole series, when does it really go to shit, season 8? Or does it stay halfway decent until the last season when Mulder leaves and the Lone Gunmen are dead?

Aelric - 2015-09-06

It's the last two seasons that are reviled. The main conspiracy/Mulder's sister/Aliens thing is pretty much wrapped up at the end of 7 If I recall Correctly, then they bring out this whole super soldier thing for the last two seasons and it's a snoozefest with plotholes and new, poor actors and blah. I gave up half way through 8, then saw the finale and just couldn't care. The monster of the week stuff is all but abandoned for the super soldier shit.

I never did watch this one but at the time I thought vidya games were SERIOUS BIZNESS. At some point I'll get around to binging the whole series on Netflix. Even the Agent Terminator episodes.

RockBolt - 2015-09-05

This is when the show was getting really gimmicky as they were running out of ideas, I hated this ep completely but the one before it, the Cops style one, was quite entertaining.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-09-07

The part at the end of the commercial hints that Agent Skully is going into the game.

Gibson co-wrote an episode about an escaped AI entity that travelled around in an RV. It sounds goofy, but it was actually a pretty competent and dangerous adversary.

The episode, called "Kill Switch," was surprisingly good and more like what you'd expect from Gibson.

Old_Zircon - 2015-09-08

Yeah, that one is good.

Nominal - 2017-04-18

What? Kill Switch was just as awful l33t h4x0r cheese as First Person Shooter, only not as fun.

The only highlight was Mulder waking up a quadriplegic before Scully bursts in to spinkick a bunch of naughty nurses.
