and this clip is boring
kill all nerds

Gmork - 2015-09-01

way to destroy the notion that you have good taste in anything in one fell swoop

Two children's shows, mashed up together, for the sake of being mashed up together.

The Flintstones called, and they demand royalties.

EvilHomer - 2015-09-02

I don't think nerds should be killed, however.

I think nerds should be gathered together into special camps, and quietly encouraged to throw footballs back and forth until they stop acting so dang foolish.

You think Rick and Morty is a children's show? Really?

infinite zest - 2015-09-02

Rick and Morty is a "Childrens'" show the way that South Park was (or I guess still is). It may be full of adult humor but kids still love it. Interestingly, did you watch the one that was on last week? They totally used the death jingle from Fallout New Vegas!

EvilHomer - 2015-09-02

It's a show for adolescents, and adolescents are children, yes.

I think the real motive behind the secret arrangement between these shows' creators was to secretly create a crossover between a Disney-owned series and a Time-Warner owned series - the two companies are famous rivals. But, I hear you ask, what about the Mickey and Bugs scene in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Corporate egos actually resulted in the creation of that scene - they demanded that Mickey and Bugs have the exact same number of words of dialogue. Since the editing department is a harsh mistress that can easily mess that kind of thing up, they only spoke when they were together to prevent a snafu.

Or maybe it's just that Justin Roiland and Alex Hirsch are friends who like to insert subtle jokes like this.

bopeton - 2015-09-01

Which is the one with cynical, absurdist humour and non-stop, zany breaking of the fourth wall?

15th - 2015-09-01

This show sucks and I don't understand why people like things that I don't.

SolRo - 2015-09-02

both shows are great.

Spaceman Africa - 2015-09-02

mind blown!
