Californication was the same way for me but with Mulder. But I don't know how he gets laid so much! He makes Bukowski seem like a nice gentleman. I'll check out The Fall right now! Infinite Zest's review in an hour from whatever fucking day and time this is.

I liked Californication as a light hearted escapist fantasy in the first season or two, but it went off the rails and crashed into a school of sharks after. The show went to shit the instant they switched Duchovny into playing the straight man.

Warning: be prepared for the massive surprise boner you'll pop for Scully at the very end of the first episode of The Fall.
