I saw Weird Al in concert last night. It was awesome. He is a very generous performer.

Why do Japanese songs never rhyme?

Of all the Weird Al songs I can think of, this one was the most forgettable. That's probably because I was a kid and got Jurassic Park but hadn't really bothered to listen to the Beatles. It's not a bad song but maybe too complex compared to Eat It, Fat, Alimony and many more, which I knew from the Weird Al versions before I had heard the actual songs.

Really? Because I still can't stop myself from thinking "MacArthur Park is frightening in the dark..." every time I hear the original. It makes more sense for a variety of reasons.

I don't feel Alapalooza was his best effort, but it contains his polka version of Bohemian Rhapsody, which IMO justifies the album's existence.

I kinda stopped with Smells Like Nirvana. Still I'd love to see him in concert sometime.

But when I think about it, my favorite song off of that album was The White Stuff, with the obvious reference I didn't get for at least 5 years after I heard it..

According to the YT comments, this is the actual Weird Al singing in actual Japanese. I don't know if that's true, but five stars anyway.
