The army?! Practicing maneuvers ON ITS OWN SOIL?!?!?

When he said "Jade Helm" I became curious what the hell he was talking about and OH BOY did Google reveal a treasure trove of crazy.

These guys are what happen when your city runs out of jobs and fun to occupy people's time with.

I remember back in the 90s the current conspiracy theory du jour about military maneuvers in urban environments (other than the usual Clinton is coming for your guns nonsense) is that it was practice for the military to use some kind of new mapping system to identify "trouble" communities (i.e. communities filled with PATRIOTS). Basically the argument, as I heard it, was this: In the event that the US military was to be deployed against the American people, they would first go after communities known for being pro-gun, anti-government idiots or whatever, and the military knew this by putting special markers on the backs of traffic signs. This way, even if divisions of troops had no access to GPS or any other computer networks, the stickers on the backs of traffic signs would guide them to where they were needed most.

Of course, these stickers are actually DOT stickers identifying when the sign was last looked at to make sure it was OK, but hey...logic never stops a good conspiracy theory.
