Jesus Christ evil enough. Gets an extra star for "negative mistreatment."

CIWB - 2015-06-05

Don't forget "bad energy".

The Mothership - 2015-06-05

Well that ain't right. That makes me mad what that man did.

I don't understand this current trend of calling attention to one's own shitty parenting on the internet. No matter how poorly someone's child reflects on them, how does casting an even brighter light on the punishment accomplish anything at all? How is the humiliation connected with the lesson? Does the parent think it makes him look good? I don't get this at all.

And cutting your kid's hair as punishment is nothing new. But I'm pretty sure most adults don't take parenting tips from a fucking fairy tale.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2015-06-06

It's basically the same thing as all those stupid criminals who upload evidence of their crimes.

Crab Mentality - 2015-06-06

It's because the parents think that what they're doing is right, and they're bragging about what an aggressively good parent they are.

I came from a mockery-based household myself- I'm just glad my parents didn't have easy-access video/uploading at the time. They had video cameras, but they weren't going to waste precious tape space for my mockery. Instead, I just got shamed for photos of times in which I wasn't happy and didn't smile for the film that I "ruined".

Five for evil.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are filled with doubts, while the stupid people are filled with confidence.

That's actually Bertrand Russell he's closely paraphrasing but either way it's mostly true.

Cena_mark - 2015-06-07

People lionize these tough parents. Remember the guy who shot his daughter's laptop? The guy was getting tons of kudos from the Fox News crowd. These morons think all our social ills will be solved with more spankings and prayer.

misterbuns - 2015-06-06

bad vibes dude

Binro the Heretic - 2015-06-06

Good lord, your thirteen-year-old child turned to drug use and your response was to chop off her hair.

Stars for evil.

pyslexic dharmacist - 2015-06-06

that'll teach her to deviate from the norm!

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-06-06

What does "negative mistreatment" mean?

ashtar. - 2015-06-07

Hey, let's not rush to judgement; we don't know the context.

This would be appropriate parenting if they were punishing her for slaying Philistines with the jawbone of an ass.

EvilHomer - 2015-06-07

I thought Samson's punishment was imprisonment and forced labour? It has been quite some time since I've read any Abrahamic myths, but it is my recollection that the hair-cutting wasn't part of the punishment, it was part of the sting operation.

On the other hand, the cutting of Samson's hair symbolized the loss of his covenant with God, which according to most traditions, is in itself tantamount to death. I guess it's possible that the deeper poetic meaning was not lost upon this poor young girl, who then simply reacted to the loss of God, her father (double meaning intentional), in the only way she knew how.

EvilHomer - 2015-06-07

Honestly, though, the reference would have been a lot stronger if, instead of just killing herself, she'd taken a cue from Judges 16:28-30 and blown up her school.

One star.

ashtar. - 2015-06-07

nerd.

Always exciting when my birth city gets national recognition for dumb shit.
