I'm not defending the shooting of unarmed teenagers BUT technically you are advocating the death of a man that was proven innocent. Think on that for a moment, who is really the heartless one here?

"Acquitted" isn't the same thing as "proven innocent," not by a long shot.

It's still a weird thing for people who (I assume) oppose the death penalty to be advocating.

It's good enough. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty; innocence is the default, and not something one has to "prove".

As for wishing death upon George Zimmerman, I agree with Mr Oddeye in that it is extremely distasteful, and depending on one's thoughts about the proper balance between security and civil liberties, quite possibly hypocritical too.

However, if it's true that Zimmerman instigated the conflict by drawing a gun on the accused, then his being shot is totally appropriate.

So if Zimmerman did get killed and did have a gun on him at the time, could the guy have used the "Stand Your Ground" law in his defense?

I'm not anti-death penalty, so kill George Zimmerman before he kills yet another person. He's come close a few times! At the very least, take away all his guns and stop him from getting more of them. Maybe cut off his hands or something. I don't know, I'm not really much of an "idea guy".

Yes, Homer, as you helpfully pointed out, there are major organs in the head, most notably the brain. The premise of the joke was that, because he is so very very stupid, he does not have any major organs in his head.

But hang on, that doesn't make sense. The brain's function is not primarily for "intelligence" (that is, the capacity for higher reasoning), but rather for the regulation of basic life functions - moving, breathing, keeping other vital organs running properly. Even the stupidest of human beings still has a brain, and their brain is just as vital to their survival as might be the brain of a genius.

There is a colloquial expression, "he has no brain", but that is not meant to be taken literally, John.

Wait... what problems are you referring to? The only issues I've noticed is that he's a racist idiot, and this kind of treatment seems entirely appropriate for that condition.

He dressed up and played vigilante and killed an innocent kid who was no threat to him or anyone else. He continues to want to be some tough guy hero. He has serious self-esteem, anger and impulse-control issues.

He needs to be on drugs that make him less dangerous and/or getting some kind of counselling. I would have liked to see him be put away for murdering Trayvon Martin, but my state is stuffed full of stupid racist assholes.
