Maybe it's my Protestant upbringing talking, but The Flying Nun was a weird idea for a show. It'is so crazy people remember it decades later. It's like My Mother The Car, only this was actually quite successful and ran for three years, and in syndication for many more, and my mother the car was a legendary bomb. When you think about it, the crazy thing about The Flyng Nun is that it was a sitcom about a nun. The fact that she could fly was probably the least crazy thing about it, for television, anyway.

I know I watched this many times, but I don't remember much about it, except that Sally Field was a Nun named sister Bertrille, and she could fly. It seems to me that there was some handsome latin hearthrob type guy, and Sister Batrille always made his life miserable.
