I'll give it five stars for the foreigner question. A lot of Koreans still have a huge problem with someone from their family marrying outside their race. One of my best friends in Korea was deeply in love with a woman who was a Korean teacher. She spoke fluent English. They got along really well. After three years he finally told her he couldn't stand not being at least engaged to her. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and was absolutely ready to commit.

She dumped him for the sole reason her family would not accept him. He left Korea after that, totally heartbroken.
