The "Not a dupe" was because I saw that Kid Fenris submitted a link to a different video on the same topic back in 2013: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=124539

This one has much more footage of foam insulation that had been protecting the payload floating nearby during space shuttle missions.

This is one of my favorite conspiracy theories, partly because you can map so many other nutty ideas onto it. It's an alien spy! It's a reptilian colony! It's an Illuminati laser weapon!

Putting aside all the usual crazy it takes to believe in this kind of thing, I think the largest leap of logic has to be the idea that a satellite could operate for 100 years, let alone 13,000 years. If such technology existed, the species that built it wouldn't NEED satellites, and their artifacts would be effing everywhere, not breaking down, even after their warranties expired.
