Just saw it as well, fantastic. Even though I forget half the damn characters.

Remember where series 5 left off? The Guild Inner Circle driving around in an old Hanna Barbera car, Dr. Girlfriend reading from a GCI rulebook re: arching rights, and the Monarch realizing that he and Dr. Venture played together as kids and his hatred wavering.

I suspect the showrunners weren't sure what to do next. I'm guessing they spent months (hence this delay) trying to figure out how to move forward, until it dawned on them: the problem was that the show had gone completely up its own ass and half of it simply didn't work any more. So blow up the nonfunctional half and give the other half a new status quo.

Remember the previous trailer season six teaser, about some mysterious guy killing off GCI members one by one? I think they realized there was no point making that a season-long arc, and far better to squish it all into a single event so the show can get to the good stuff again.

For those of you who haven't seen this yet: a LOT of people died, and a certain amount of real estate is no more. Change isn't always good, but sometimes it's overdue.

If only you had been around to tell them what was "working" and what wasn't, they wouldn't have spent so much time trying to figure out what you knew all along.

That said, they haven't gotten rid of Sgt Hatred, so there is still more they could learn from me.

Great special, and the trailer looks promising too. I'm glad the show is recognizing how it can't remain the same as it was in season 1 or 2, so it's running with change.

You know what, I really used to love this show but something nowadays doesn't click with me and this show. Maybe I'm just getting older.
