Crazy, but he's actually a respected scientist.
Here's a paper on this stuff he had published in the Journal of Cosmology only this year. That's a peer-reviewed, actual journal, run out of Harvard.

As far as conspiracies and crazies go, this guy has his shit together man.

That paper was hilarious. How could he write all that blather without at least a nod to Richard Hoagland?

Proof that it's entirely possible for educated, experienced scientists and scholars to be completely bonkers. Usually the nuttiness arises when they venture beyond their chosen disciplines.

How many fucking language captions does this need?

Didn't Louis CK go on a weird Twitter rant saying this recently?

An oval shape with some dots? Definitely a face. A human-looking face, because a species that evolved completely separately from humans would look just like humans.

Seems like if anywhere was a pre-Earth civilization ruined by humanoid aliens, it would be Venus, seeing as Venus' atmosphere is pretty much the end-game for what climate change is going to do to Earth.

Nah, man. If any planet got nuked it's mars, as women are from Venus.

Which part of his presentation was "insane"?

What if Mars did suffer a catastrophe and Martians seem human because they are human. Maybe they could only get a handful of people from Mars to Earth which is where we get our first civilizations(Why do I have a feeling that new space Shamalan movie has this twist?)? Why not? The only part where he seems bonkers is where he uses this to extrapolate that Earth is thus doomed. Maybe we're been jumping between earth and mars and then destroying our sweet crib and having to move again for an eternity. I guess it's crazy to then go forward and live your life as if you know this and it matters somehow, but I dunno, he should maybe just be writing sci-fi. It's just that he follows it up with a christian bent on a weird spirituality channel that seems cookie. Isaac Newton was an Alchemist, after all. Which is to say so long as this accredited scientists evidence is true, he's only crazy for being a Christian.
