Oh man, this movie freaked me out as a kid. I was trying to remember the name a while back, too!

Since Randall (as Lao) often didn't speak using an insulting "ME RIKEY VELY MUCH!" accent, I'm not sure if this is considered offensive or not.

Regardless, it was one of my childhood favorites and still has a warm cozy little place in my heart.

It's actually pretty funny how he uses the ching-chong bing-bong stereotype accent for Lao when he's around the ignorant townspeople and then switches when he's talking to the boy.

It's a pretty good film. Not quite as twisted as the book, but weird enough.

The insulting accent business is a ploy on Lao's part to get the locals to underestimate him.

Joel Hodgson's favorite movie!

Beat me to it.

This movie is fantastic, and the 70s porn version "The 7 Seductions of Madame Lao" isn't too shabby, either. It's no Night Dreams but it definitely has enough weird, ill advised "artistic" pretensions to make it worth a look if you like that sort of bad movie.

This was a fantastic Saturday matinee for me growing up.

It's amazing.

This is a really bizarre film, but a good one.

Couldn't they have at least tried to find a Gorgon-American to play the Medusa character? #CANCELCOLBERT
