Holy shit, I was going to reply to that guy that he mad, but the winking smiley faces definitely prove that he is not mad at all!

Germans: Descendants of people who would bite your face off.

Kid Fenris - 2014-10-06

And that's why I took German in middle school.

The bloopers seem unnecessary, though.

This is more fun, German animal names:

Dunno if it's worthy of a submission of its own, but it's germane (har har!) to the topic.

You know, if the joke immediately pops into your mind when the premise is brought up, it's probably not enough material for a five minute video.

Or a Somethingawful article.

That was an accidental 5-star fedex. Don't say I never did anything for you.

OK!

The old “German is harsh and guttural” cliché. German sounds harsh mostly when non-Germans try to speak it. Students of German struggling to wrap their tongues around it sound forced and exaggerated. The rest of our exposure to the language is WWII movies, i.e. soldiers shouting through megaphones. (Very often these two categories overlap, i.e. Hollywood Nazis played by American actors with awful pronunciation shouting through megaphones.)

Actual German spoken by Germans is surprisingly mellifluous.

Okay, who rubbed one out to France? Be honest.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-10-07

Goes on far too long with a tired old joke that wasn't very fun to begin with and then adds a bunch of tired old costumes and race jokes to pile on the fun!

Yeah, with the German guy having to sound like Christian Bale Batman to make his point, not only does it weaken his point, but it makes this unfunny as hell.

"Nilpferd" means "Nile horse". Since "hippopotamus" means "river horse", it's not that much of a stretch.
