Kind of an equivalent leap forward in games technology and presentation as Mass Effect was in 2006

I love Harry Dean Stanton, but how could you be so off time-wise on one of the most important movies of the 20th century, one that YOU WERE IN?
I also love Alien, but being a kid at the time I saw Aliens and Alien3 before I saw the first one, so I was expecting that sort of videogame feel. Not to mention the best scene in the movie was ruined by Space Balls. It's slow and suspenseful but when I was a kid it was just boring compared to the sequels. As I learned to appreciate film it got better on subsequent viewings, but even as an adult this sounds really fucking boring.

StanleyPain - 2014-07-26 Holy shit, GTA clone or no, I would fucking LOVE a Repo Man game using, say, the GTA5 engine and setting and just using the characters. Most of the actors are still alive and could do some voice work. That would be amazing.

infinite zest - 2014-07-26 Yeah the movie's kind of got that vibe anyway, at least when I play it GTA. "hey kid, wanna go on a mission and make some money? Take this car." "Aw fuck it I'm gonna get sushi and not pay for it"

I wish the game wasn't in first person mode, as I can't play those due to motion sickness problems.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2014-07-26 Are you playing on consoles? Because for some reason* the field of view on console first person (and other) games is usually very low. Sometimes as low as 60° .The standard fov (for instance what quake used, which is what is closest to human visual perception) is 90° .Apparently low fov in games can cause motion sickness, people complain about it a lot.
On pc games you can usually set the fov to whatever you want.
*Maybe to render less and therefore make the game run faster with the same level of graphical fidelity, though it seems counter-productive to pretty much break the entire experience just to accomplish this.

Nominal - 2014-07-27 Make it 3rd person by printing out and tape this to the center of your monitor while you play.
