That's pretty cool of the local news to do a nice little farewell to a musician who, as far as I know, is still under most peoples' radars. I don't think the local news in Portland did anything mentioning someone like Elliott Smith leaving Portland, much less do an interview and let him do the weather. El Paso must be pretty cool.

Psalm 69 blew out my eardrums. 5 for Al and some kick ass music.

I didn't know he wasn't still in Chicago. Meh.

'Classic Rock' band Ministry.

Shit I missed that. I guess it is though.. When I was a kid in the 90s, Zeppelin, the who, acdc were already on the "classic" stations while nirvana, nine inch nails, green day were on the contemporary "alternative" station. Considering "IV," "Who's Next" and "TNT" were all 20 years or older by the mid 90s, it'd only make sense that the alternative bands are now classical. Still seems weird.

There's an interview out on the YouTubes with the same station where Al talks about what he's up to in a new Ministry tour, moving to LA and so on. If no one beats me to it, I'll throw it in the hopper.

By the end of his visit, the entire KVIA news team was addicted to heroin.
