This is neither a good or a bad promo. I'd say it errs on the side of smart decision-making, though. They're selling the show based on the charismatic(?) auteur creator's involvement, without ramming it down your throat or being too obvious about it.
I was disappointed the REN & STIMPY ADULT PARTY cartoon didn't make it past the first few weeks. It was like the first time there was a late night animation block on an American cable channel I could watch in Canada.
I mean, most of the Adult Swim original cartoons made it to Teletoon sooner or later, but they'd be interspersed with such CanCon "gems" as ZEROMAN and SONS OF BUTCHER.
As mediocre-to-bad as the Spike animation block was, I thought it was better promoted than FOX ADHD, which - apart from a couple of prime-time showings - comes across as Twitter posts saying "HEY GUYS! PIZZA!"
