Everything on this channel is just delightful. I recommend it as a remedy for a crummy day.

Yeah, I've been watching it lately. He's kind of like Woodwright Shop, minus the occasional spurting vein.

I LOVE this channel.
I spent a day watching everything on it food related.
Big fan of the bread stuff.

By the by, it's a good time to bring up the "whatever happened to the meat pie" culinary mystery.

The pastie or meat pie was the most popular lunch in the English speaking world. Then, by around 1940, it had completely disappeared, not just from the lunches of the world but from common cuisine. It is generally attributed to the popularity of the sandwich and of sliced bread. It's just strange that it didn't make too many waves in the media. There were no "where are our meat pies?" campaigns. It was like a shared conspiracy of housewives to eliminate this difficult to make but delectable tradition for something cheaper and much faster.

Meat pies were what workmen ate for CENTURIES, and then, in the course of a decade, they were lost from memory.

meat pies are still popular in Europe, just not as a portable meal.

the rest of what you said just sounds dumb.

You know nothing about food shut up.

SolRo - 2014-05-13

Like you, I'll blame housewives for that.

I love this stuff. I'm all for eating obscure ancient foods.

American Standard - 2014-05-13
