From Wikipedia: "Despite the Volume One moniker this was the only installment released. There was never a Volume Two in either completed or prototype form."

what the hell is some enterprising conman on Kickstarter waiting for?

I really liked hip hop based games that followed this one, like the Def Jam fighting game and that Wu Tang game they made after they scrapped ThrillKill. But there's something inherently wrong though about a game featuring black rappers who play basketball in a junk yard. Did they all sign onto this?

DefJam was awesome, but I never forgave WuTang for Thrill Kill. I know it wasn't their fault, but someone has to take the blame for Thrill Kill's demise, and it might as well be them.

And of course they signed on to this. Rappers will sign on to anything, as long as it gets them malt liquor and chicken, or whatever the hell it is those people eat.

In all seriousness, maybe this was seen as a way of reinforcing street cred? Urban youth do play basketball in shitty neighbourhoods, and that is the motiff most rappers were going for back then. I can see why you find it disconcerting (that was my first thought, too)... but really, would this be any worse than, say, a hypothetical game with Slayer in Hell? Or Revolution X, a game with Aerosmith shooting teachers, parents, and Sonya Blade?

I don't know why Warren G signed on to this, though. Besides the money, I mean. Coolio and Flava Flav, yeah, but Warren G?!

This game really needs the "Barkley: Shut Up and Jam" treatment.

I never understood the whole "Rebellion against Parents" thing with Revolution X either, as all my friends' parents owned "Get a Grip."

Oh yeah, this was the game wherein you could assemble your 3 man dream team of Queen Latifa and two Coolios.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2014-04-11

Some kid is out there thinking "Queen Latifah was a rapper!?"

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-04-11

So it's NBA Jam but played one on one by rappers in the projects. Seems fun for about 30 seconds.
