I probably haven't listened to it in a decade, but as a whole soundtrack goes, I found this one kinda wandered. Good for an ambient sound, but beyond the opening track nothing stood out.

For personal faves Yoko Kanno's Macross Plus soundtrack and the Akira score by Geinō Yamashirogumi would be among my toss-up favorites, with a nod to FLCL's soundtrack as well.

Not that there isn't new stuff that's good, I imagine, I just haven't sat down and actively listened to stuff since back in the day.
