poetv should just have a band, with samples and lyrics exchanged, kind of like the Postal Service, but less shitty. I googled Eggo Brain and it's not a band as far as I know, but it looks like it was was a System of a Down song.. I'm pretty indifferent to SoaD but maybe not the best name, knowing some of their fanbase (no offense to fans, but I've met some weird tweaker assholes with their t-shirts over the years)

Some of Egg Brain's logo designs include a cartoon egg character, which could easily be mistaken for an "o". Also, for all I know, they might have been named Eggo Brain at some point, only to change their name for fear of getting sued by the waffle douchebags. I have no clue. The only J-rock band I even sort-of follow these days is Kiba from Akiba, and the only reason I care about them is because they do stuff with BABYMETAL (FUCK YEAH BABYMEAL!). As for SoaD, they were really good for numetal, probably the best radio band besides HedPE or Sevendust when I was a wee bairn, but I can't say I ever really got into them, and I imagine any SoaD holdouts today are going to be tweakers.

We *should* totally get a poeTV band going. There are enough musically inclined people here, and even the ones who aren't could contribute, because fuck it's not going to sound good anyway.

Yeah I remember I was somewhere.. maybe back in '03 or something, and it was playing and I asked "what is this" and he said System of a Down and I was like "oh!" At the time I sort of had a teenage viewpoint of all genres I didn't like musically and Numetal was one of them. Of course, I love Emo when it refers to Rites of Spring, Rainer Maria, Jawbreaker, Archers of Loaf, Sunny Day Realetc. but not its current connotation of "ooooh that's so eeeeeemooooooo.."

The only J-rock band I really listen to is Guitar Wolf, who are just plain badass. The only band with a sticker on the front of the record warning that you can actually blow out your speakers if you play it "loud" like you would other records. I tried it and it did.

Numetal was awful, so you made the right choice on that.
