Steve is the Mac Daddy.

I'm assuming it goes on to prove Steve's innocence, like she had a crush on him but he liked Kelly, and the girl is run out of town for lying?

This also reminds me of that same girl I mentioned in the other video.. after that whole thing happened, she became pretty tight with my little gang in the apartment complex I live in (it's like Melrose Place, but replace a sink-hole with a hot tub) so she was over a lot, moved in with me, and one day she contacts me being like "what's going on? Nobody over there will talk to me anymore" and it turns out that she was accused of stealing like from my neighbor's as well as some clothing items from my housemate's then-girlfriend, to this day both of which I call bullshit on. They were all drunk and on LSD; can magically disappear into, I dunno.. hey let's buy some coke! They mentioned something to me about the missing things but nothing to her.

I was reluctant to say anything at first.. was just like "go talk to them and see what's up" but instead of any direct communication, they took a passive aggressive tone and ignored her, like it HAD to be her because she was the new girl that nobody really knew. When I finally broke down after a week or so and told them why everyone was ignoring her, she expressed a kind of what-the-fuck shock that no actor can achieve. But everyone ganged up against her. Did she do it? Fuck if I know, or care, but it was very unfair.

I'm going to come off sounding like an asshole for saying this...but the opening flashback seems like it'd be perfect in some 'steamy romance' novel.

90210 Shades of Grey.

"Originally a laid-back goofball who didn't mind taking shortcuts to get ahead, Steve matured throughout the series into a more responsibly minded individual. In the process, he retained a good deal of his trademark sense of humor."

"After school began, he still found himself pining over Kelly and actually helped rescue her from being raped at a Halloween party by The Cowboy, who he punched out in Kelly's defense."

"Laura began to believe that Steve raped her and had planned to announce this at the "Take Back The Night" rally, but Kelly Taylor, not believing Laura's claims, stood up at the rally and told everyone the story about how Steve saved her from a rapist two years ago on Halloween. Laura decided not to ruin Steve, admitting that she never said "yes", but never said "no", either. However, Celeste broke up with Steve when he admitted to his infidelity."

Wait, do they expect us to sympathize with Kelly here?
