I cannot believe the "I heard the song wrong" joke is still being told.

I remember around the time this coffee table book came out there was a standup who did the "I heard the lyrics all funny" routine. It was on Comedy Central, maybe even "Ha!" I can't recall the name.

I thought Robert Palmer was singing "a flaming onion is all you crave" in "Addicted to Love".

Also, thanks to "The Star Spangled Banner" I thought "daunserley" was an adjective.

I think it's more in the execution. This guy does it to perfection.

Some of the other stuff he is in like Phoenix Nights and such is simply gold. Near Alan Partridge levels of hilarity, I tell thee.

Baleen, was it some sort of southern bearded trucker type guy? I remember seeing something like that, on the old comedy channel stand up clip shows they used to show constantly.

I think there may have been a trucker one.
The one I'm thinking of had a Northeast accent of unknown origin. "The girl with colitis goes by" instead of "The girl with kaleidoscope eyes" hahaha.!?!!?!@?!@!?@?@#$ IT WRITES ITSELF FOLKS!

I was convinced for some time that Steve Miller was saying, "Big Ol' Jed Had a Light On".

My favorite: A little girl I knew used to sing Ted Nugent's Catch That Beaver.
