Holy crap, that was quick.

OK, before anybody else comments, I just wanted to explain myself. Nobody I know in person will 'get' this. They might think it's funny, they might even laugh, but they won't really get it. You guys, on the other hand.....I just needed some people to see it who would understand.

James Woods - 2014-03-07

You done good.

chairsforcheap - 2014-03-07

this is great

violenza - 2014-03-07

bravissimo

baleen - 2014-03-07

There is no rule anywhere ever that people can't or shouldn't submit their own work. If it is written somewhere then it should be removed. Fuck that. I've submitted several videos of me goofing off on youtube. I think there might be people afraid of turning this place into a click mill for their vids maybe? I don't know, but I like seeing what you all look like and do for fun.

baleen - 2014-03-07

And this was funny.

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-07

It's not so much a rule as if you submit it and it sucks you will be ruthlessly one starred and then nobody will remember in a day or two.

This doesn't suck at all.

Nominal - 2014-03-07

Maybe they're afraid of it being like an open submission porn site that gets flooded by selfie videos of fat dudes jacking off.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-03-08

I like seeing videos from fellow poetards. Good job.

Bort - 2014-03-08

I remember a rule about submitting your own material, but it's gone now. I imagine the rule was there to keep people from submitting every worthless thing they ever made, but since that never really became a problem, the rule was dropped.

gravelstudios - 2014-03-08

I promise not to spam the hopper with everything I do (heck, I didn't even expect this to get out of the hopper). I know several Poesters who are subscribed to my youtube channel. If I produce something truly worthy, I know they'll submit it. But this......was special.

Meerkat - 2014-03-08

I could make some videos of me brewing all-grain beer but I don't think it would qualify as evil or interesting.

Jimmy Labatt - 2014-03-08

We understand, brother.

Jimmy Labatt - 2014-03-08

Guys, this is what the site's all about. We need more stuff in the vein of this/eagles are sneaky birds. To your cameras!

Sexy Duck Cop - 2014-03-08

This is funny and not against any rules because PoeTV is a flying Dutchman whose ghosts are slowly dying off, which in ghost parlance means petrifying into a skeleton, the ghost equivalent of an Obama voter, so anything that encourages user interaction and content prevents all that.

1394 - 2014-03-07

Ha ha ha!

Old People - 2014-03-07

Oh fuck you, you terrible, wonderful person. I laughed in spite of myself.

TheOtherCapnS - 2014-03-07

It's almost as menacing and unsettling as the ones submitted earlier.

sasazuka - 2014-03-07

If I were shooting this, I'd have shown more of "Johnny"'s mouth for the "Ha ha ha". Otherwise, it's perfect.

Bort - 2014-03-07

I had always hoped David Lynch would tackle this, but knowing him he'd probably turn it into a thing about quinoa.

Nice work, Gravel Studios!

StanleyPain - 2014-03-07

Seriously, guys, I think he may have been eating that sugar.

Sudan no1 - 2014-03-08

Needs a "Johnny Johnny yes Papa" tag obviously.

Good job.

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-08

Incidentlly, it's "johny" with one N in the real videos, and that's an active tag too.

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-08

I thought it was a linked tag.

Koda Maja - 2014-03-08

I wouldn't mind seeing more live recreations of Poe inside jokes.

Do you happen to have access to a dojo, gravelstudios?

Rosebeekee - 2014-03-08

What kind of person eats spoonfuls of sugar? What kind of person sneaks into a kitchen to eat spoonfuls of sugar?

Bort - 2014-03-08

Everything about this nursery rhyme is inept -- Johny's crime, the weak rhyme scheme, the non sequitur last line.

It all makes more sense if you change it from "eating sugar?" to "huffing whipped cream?"

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-08

Once or twice a week I'll eat a big spoonful of raw honey.

gravelstudios - 2014-03-08

In Leonard Nimoy's autobiography, he said that, while filming Star Trek, he kept a jar of honey in his dressing room and would take regular swigs from it to keep going on long days.

Rosebeekee - 2014-03-08

Johnny doesn't strike me as someone who has to put in long days.

Mister Yuck - 2014-03-08

Your house has too much wood paneling. It's creeping me out.

misterbuns - 2014-03-08

This was funny.

btw I've been submitting my stuff for years!

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-03-09

Needs more Dutch Angle, if you ask me.
