"You've made me cry with that performance. There is an episode I think was in Justice League with the Royal Flush Gang- You will not remember this but I'll remind you. The Royal Flush Gang is being controlled by a character called Ace who is a little girl and you're sent in by Amanda Waller to terminate a child who is unmaking the world. This is the only way they can stop whats happening, this kid has to go. But shes like an all powerful kid like one of those Twilight Zone kids who are too powerful for their own good and she can read minds and whatnot. And you come in and have this lovely little conversation with her (I might roll tears talking about it) about like... Shes like "You've come here to kill me" and you're like "Yes" and shes like "But you won't, I already know that you won't." She's afraid of dying and so you say that you'll sit there with her and the two of you sitting on the swings... *starts getting choked up* The performance behind those words, I've watch that clip a zillion times... That performance made me... *starts seriously breaking down in tears* comfortable with my eventual own death, thats how good of an actor you are. I mean it makes sense that you were trained at Juilliard because you can bring such emotional weight to a ****ing cartoon!"

Let's not forget Mr. Smith wrote a Batman comic series, "The Widening Gyre," where Bats admits that early in his career, he was so nervous about being a superhero that he wet himself before going into battle.

BHWW - 2014-03-03

Let's not forget Kevin Smith is a cartoonishly fat, bearded shithead.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2014-03-03

He literally burst into tears talking about an episode of Justice League Unlimited, it kind of goes without saying.

Even so, that must have been a nice moment for Kevin Conroy. It's fun for an actor to know that the work is genuinely moving audiences (even to tears!)

That particular scene didn't involve much heavy lifting on Kevin Conroy's part -- "I know what that's like", "No, I wasn't", "Yes", "Yes, I'm sorry" -- I'm guessing it was a little embarrassing.

But Kevin tells a good story about when he was pitching in at a kitchen for firefighters shortly after 9/11:

I've seen some of that "Widening Gyre" comic and it's pretty awful. Kevin Smith's writing paired up with some pretty terrible art - you'd have to descend to the lowest rungs of terrible 1990's era comics shat out by one of those really sketchy, low-rent, poorly conceived "indie" publishers to find art this bad.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-03-04

He was (sadly) out-done in the crazy department (and bad art, I think, since it's just so goofy-looking) by Neal Adams' "Batman: Odyssey":

Apparently, he even has a scene somewhere that has a mole-man giving Bat's a lecture on Adams' favorite topic: his loopy "plate tectonics are a lie, the Earth is expanding" theory.

"Let's not forget Kevin Smith is a cartoonishly fat, bearded shithead."

Yes, he is a bearded shithead, but he lost like 65 pounds after the Southwest Airlines incident, tho I've heard he gained it all back and then some, but this pic taken just a week ago seems to say the contrary: https://scontent-b-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1/1896953_101518 90181831930_1243532670_n.jpg

I watched this clip, here is a star.

Centennial Ostrich - 2014-03-03

Pretty unexpected depth for Cartoon Network programming.

poorwill - 2014-03-03

Eh, it was ok.

namtar - 2014-03-03

These stars are all for the "queen" at the end.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-03-03

Amanda Waller is a great character.
