Let me give a quick shout out to my friends in the Portland Cello Project, who do a really cool cover of this as well. Couldn't find a good version without people talking while recording on their phones, etc.. but check them out. In either case, I don't think anything less than a bullet-bill will get this fucking song out of my head.

At the very beginning it says that Mario has x2 lives. That suggests a previous failed attempt.
