Standing on a C64 while wearing a power glove?? Why didn't I think of that??

SolRo - 2013-12-27

-2 because at the end you find out it's a kickstarter to do a whole movie. Making any more than trailers for something like this doesn't work.

poorwill - 2013-12-27

Yup. You can tell they're running out of ideas for the trailer - the movie stands almost no chance of being good.

Spoonybard - 2013-12-27

The movie's only going to be 30 minutes long, and it will be free on the internet.

The bit at the beginning when Kung Fury shuts the car door and the music cuts off, implying that he was listening to a cheesy 80s action movie soundtrack on the radio, was enough to sell me on it.

Hooker - 2013-12-27

Yeah. It would take a pretty careful screenplay to tease this out over 90-120 minutes, but the trailer was a ton of fun so I hope they pull it off more than I'm cynical that they won't.

Old_Zircon - 2013-12-28

Deliberately transparent knockoff of Crockett's Theme gets a few stars.

Vaidency - 2013-12-27

The joke may be unsustainable for more than a few minutes, but the trailer is funny.

exy - 2013-12-27

I got tired of this before the trailer ended. Sometimes you can try too hard.

baleen - 2013-12-27

This is the most trying too hard of too hard tryingness. I don't know whether to rate it for good shit or bad shit. It's like the worst of Channel 101 irony jokes boiled into pudding.

The New Meat - 2013-12-27

I was totally sold on this as a pitch-perfect spoof of 80s action flicks for the first 50 seconds, but then it takes a sharp turn into WACKY RANDOM INTERNET AWESOME shit. Still, what it did right, it did REALLY right, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

TheOtherCapnS - 2013-12-28

After watching it, up until I started reading the comments, I thought this was viral marketing for a FC3 Blood Dragon sequel.

glasseye - 2014-02-07

If only!

kingofthenothing - 2013-12-28

I'm going to pretend this is a sequel to Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-04-23

The trailer and the comments make me grateful that I've outgrown my cynicism towards pop culture.
