This is a neat idea, but for me, I think it'd ruin the immersion. I know some people like to build silly/irreverent structures in their Minecraft world, like giant penises, troll faces, or that furry server where they built the humungous vore fox with the intestinal tract that poops players out it's butt in the en, but it's not for me. I like my structures to fit organically within the world, to tell a story about the inhabitants. Giant swear-a-coasters kill that illusion.

Anyone here build sprite art? I've got a few pieces myself, but I try and limit them to cliff-faces, so they "blend in" with the terrain, and look like something indigenous people would create. I've got a giant Pedobear mural, which isn't very good because it was built during the time period between when wool was removed and then subsequently added back in. As a result, it's built entirely out of earth, stone, sand, and Netherrack - I could renovate it, I guess, but I'd rather keep it as is for historical reasons. List it as a national trust site, or something. I've got a Rainbow Dash on one of the "ocean-cliffs" that appeared when I got the Adventure Update and discovered the new algorithms were generating oceans biomes all around my previously explored chunks (in fact, 90% of my civilization would have been underwater according to the new biome algorithms!). There's a small Sailor Moon RPG sprite on one of the landward-side cliffs that was created from same-said update, and I've been meaning to make more, but it's very hard to find aesthetically convenient cliffs with more than fifteen blocks worth of vertical space to work with. In the interim, I've been working on three 3D sculptures - a Moia head of Fluttershy, a waterfall-breathing dragon's head coming out of my castle (it makes a great water-elevator entrance!), and a design for a mediumish human sculpture that I hope to one day turn into a full fledged Colossus, plus maybe also some cannon-equipped samurai Mobile Suits.
