Binro the Heretic - 2013-10-19

No "Jamie Farr" tag?

This was a sequel to "The Curse" which was based on H. P. Lovecraft's "The Colour out of Space". And when I say "based on" I mean that they both took place of a farm and were written in English.

"The Curse" was about Sherriff Lobo punching Wesley Crusher in the face and fucking his mom. This chunk of ice fell from space and melted into the ground on his farm and the contaminated well water caused tomatoes to grow really huge & delicious-looking, but they turned out to be full of black pus. Also, it made cows explode in showers of maggots. Then Wesley's mom melted along with the house.

I don't know what any of this had to do with a guy being turned into a bunch of snakes from a radioactive snake bite.

Forget it Binro; it's Direct-to-Videotown.

This is a sequel in name only; neither movie was called "curse" anything originally. I forget what this one was called before it got released.

Either way, am I the only one who first saw this on "Drive In Reviews" on Comedy Central about 20 years ago?

The direct-to-video sequel is usually either a cynical cash-in or a chintzy little production whose creators have attempted to dress up in big-boy movie clothes but still looks pretty flimsy and cheap.

Or an unrelated movie the distributor decided to retitle to cash in on a slightly more successful movie's brand recognition. Doesn't happen nearly as much these days but it used to go on a lot.
