i got myself one of those spiffy dutch passports they showed at 48 seconds eheheh

the EU's a wonderful, forward-thinking experiment, and it makes me happy in my bones. the EU's 800+ page constitution is sort of a whimsical embodiment of western philosophy.

I feel fortunate to have EU citizenship, but I have no idea what to do with it.

Was debating on getting my Italian citizenship for years. Might do it before 40 or they might not ever let me. Meanwhile my wife to be wants to get her Korean citizenship. So then we can move to Denmark.

I don't know about this border thing. A good friend of mine toured Europe 5 or 6 years ago and not only was their tour bus stupped at the Czech border crossing by the armed guards stationed there, but they were legally required to have a Czech driver take over for their label-provided driver for the duration of their stay in the Czech Republic. So there's that.

Yeas that was supposed to say they were "stopped" but the typo is just as correct.

CGPGrey is always worth 5.

I remember from about 1998 until the middle of 2000 I had to hear my foster mom rant and rave on a bi-weekly basis about how the European Union and the introduction of the Euro were irrefutable proof that the work was going to end and we were all going to be raptured with the coming of the new millennium.

So thanks for all the terrible dinner lectures, Euroscum.
