Part of me was really hoping that it was the same actor, just 20 years older and 250 pounds heavier. If any character would benefit from the ravages of age, it's Beetlejuice.

He IS technically dead after all!

This was physically painful to sit through.

And I feel so sorry for everyone involved.

We went to Universal for a vacation last year. A torrential downpour stopped us from going to this. After seeing this... Thank you, rain... thank you.

I made it through the 1992 video, but couldn't even watch half of this.

Springsteen has never been covered better. You would think he wrote Dancing in the Dark specifically for a man dressed like Frankenstein's monster to cover it. The Hey Ya! cover was in incredibly poor taste though.

My favorite thing is that they fired Phantom of the Opera and replaced him with stripper-looking fetish cheerleaders. I blame the Internet.

Just think; this time around, the kids have no reason to know or care who the hell Beetlejuice is. What we're seeing is parents clinging to their own childhoods (the last time they were truly happy).

Well, this IS the same place that has a Fievel Goes West playground.

Old_Zircon - 2013-03-28

I see half a dozen kids top, do kids even go there anymore?

spikestoyiu - 2013-03-28

Holy shit.

This was pretty damn cool when I was 11. My life had sucked hard up to that point, so this was a weird bright spot. I sort of loved watching all the disappointed failed actors muscle through the songs like they actually liked them.

I had such fond memory of "actor participation" rides and shows as a kid, like the MGM Studios movie ride where your host would get run off halfway through and a villain take over the tour.

Fast forward to my next Disney World trip over a decade later in my 20s and all I felt was awkward pity.
