The preview image alone is enough to get put on a couple of watch lists.

5 just for the brocktoon tag.

Even Bob Uecker couldn't make this funny.

That's what you get for molesting your teacher.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-03-24

This whole show was a bad touch to me as a kid.

This is the 80s. People on Fox News have the same haircuts now. For some reason, this is extremely funny to me.

Tell someone you trust, like, your mom or your dad.

What a dick thing to say. Why in the fuck do they feel they have the right to speak about this issue when they don't even have a basic understanding of how child molestation typically plays out in real life?

I'd imagine the majority of victims can't go to their parents. Odds are, one of their parents is the perpetrator. Even when that isn't the case, perpetrators often seek out victims that have shitty parents that aren't likely to act on such an accusation.

If you are one of those kids being molested by a parent this message kind of reinforces the idea that no one will believe you.

It was the 80s, Blue. A much simpler time, according to the sitcoms.
In fact, I would argue that this episode was doing an amazingly radical thing by portraying the molester as a relatively average person, as opposed to an insanely creepy next door neighbor, or something, offering the kid candy or something (which was generally the stereotype who popped up on sitcoms whenever they needed a "very special" episode)

The 80s were an era of unrelenting bullshit. If the solution couldn't be reduced to a bumper-sticker-sized slogan, it wasn't a solution they were interested in communicating.

As John Dolan once put it: "As so often in assessing post-Reagan culture, you're left to wonder whether you're dealing with stupidity, lies, or some horribly adaptive mixture of both."

Tonight on former Pope Benedict's Tivo. And every other night this week.

Two stars for the creepy preview image + 1 star for going ho hum and laughing off that your kid got molested + 2 stars for fat jokes being okay and the fat counselor being the same fat woman who led the brigade of fat ladies against Al Bundy.
