A hundred nobel prizes need to go to someone who manages to keep cop dramas/procedurals off the air for at least one year.

Or make them all as good as "The Wire." L&O/CSI/NCIS all need some major down time.

This show, and Benson in particular, always struck me as the chick version of 24.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2013-03-23

That's a pretty good observation. I've been spending a lot of time taking care of a female friend who's recovering from surgery, and when I'm at her house this is something we can both agree on. (I've also seen a lot of "America's Next Top Model" Luckily, she's got wifi.) SVU is always on Cloo, Oxygen, or USA for all-day marathons, just hours and hours of rape, incest, and child murder. Like "24", the plots on this show are crazy, just a complete fucking mess. They usually catch the perp halfway into the hour, and that's when things get REALLY fucked up.

Just imagine a comic book crossover of Stabler and Mackey teaming up.

Listen you fuzzy little shithead. I've been fucked around in my time by a fairly good cross section of mean tempered, role-crazy cops. And now, it's my turn. So, fuck you officer; I'm in charge.

Jesus, I saw that movie last night, and I did not make him.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2013-03-23

These child-raping scumbags deserve no better, especially Matthew Modine (1:42), who ought to be ass-raped with a plunger for starring in "FLUKE" (1995). I've seen bad movies, but I consider Fluke to be ESPECIALLY HEINOUS!

memedumpster - 2013-03-23

So, you might say, as bad movies go, that this one was idiosyncratically bad in a statistically unpredictable way, or rather, an accidental or chance happening of low quality?

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2013-03-23

There was no predicting this pile of shit.

Fluke is a movie about a guy who dies and comes back reincarnated as a dog, WITH A TWIST.

The twist is that it's not a comedy. It takes itself completely seriously. It's ponderous, depressing, and horrible. At one point he actually winds up in a laboratory, subjected to product testing. My date was furious at me for taking her, but she refused to leave, apparently to punish me.

I always describe the experience of seeing "Fluke" in terms of wanting to get up and throttle the projectionist.

Some people like it. Fuck those people.

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-03-23

That was all you could find?

chumbucket - 2013-03-23

Liked him better in Oz

BHWW - 2013-03-23

This show always gave me a queasey feeling, there's just something grubbily, lip-smackingly vouyeristic in the treatment of heinous sex crimes and murders.
