Guess I should explain where I'm coming from with "the worst word". I showed this clip to some older relatives who I thought might possibly be offended by "nigger" all over the place, because they're decent liberal folks. Turns out they didn't like all the "fucks", of all things.

I listened to the whole thing and was expecting someone to say zhid or kike but it didn't happen, which was leading me to wonder what the worst word in this is.

Either way, they make a good point, and the caller was a fair man that eventually admitted his defeat.

If you haven't read "Huck Finn" in years, I'd recommend giving it another shot. Bear in mind that Twain's original audience was adults, not pissy teenagers whose English teacher is desperately trying to find something they might tolerate reading.

In the foreword, Twain is careful to suggest there is no moral to the story and no lessons to be taken from it. But I think he does that to fly under his readers' radar, so that, when they're forced to understand and confront the hypocrisies in the story, they won't see it coming.

One thing Louis CK gets wrong is that people don't call Jim "Nigger Jim". They refer to him as a nigger constantly, and often as Jim, but not "Nigger Jim". I don't think it dilutes his point.
