You'd think that such a large group that wields such political power would be able to produce it's own cartoons or TV shows or music.

The only way the "casting out of spirits" BS would work is if the bully in question thought you were insane in a "we didn't mean for the exorcism to kill him" kind of way.

I can only think that the "lessons" these videos teach are either accepted as fantasy by those watching or they admonish themselves for their Jesus-powers not working because they're not faithful enough.

This seems like something you would find on Newgrounds in the late 90s, only it would feature Goku somehow.

If he has power over evil spirits, doesn't that make him some sort of necromancer?

Andrew Sullivan once did a great writeup on why Christian films are so terrible when, historically, Christianity has been one of the greatest artistic lights in human civilization. His basic point was that the rise of fundamentalism forced evangelicals to not only view the Bible literally, but everything even vaguely related to religion as well. Hence we get stuff like this, which has 37 cross puns in the opening credits alone, and features a protagonist whose entire arc is "likes Jesus."

My theory, which is coincidentally way better, is that great artists no longer have to pretend to enjoy making endless frescoes of Christ on the cross for wealthy Florentine bankers and can now focus on grown-up work.

At first I was wondering if this was Nigerian, but four seconds in the complete lack of earnest, sincere, striving against all hope for quality that will never come, told me it was just phoned in American.

Made by black christians for black christians, and they'll be lucky if anyone else bothers to watch it.
