This guy is a real life superhero.

Strike that, this guy is THE real life superhero.

Change - 2013-02-03

Don't stop, assuming you get the gist of this. Watch the whole thing.

The Mothership - 2013-02-04

Solid advice.

baleen - 2013-02-03

I have to be completely honest and say that I thought this was cool and funny and stuff, but the last thing he said actually made me cry.

urbanelf - 2013-02-03

The real deal, this guy.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2013-02-03

Keva Rosenberg - Unemployed Person

"It's a free society except there ain't nothing free because there's no guarantee. Hehehehe you're on your own. It's a lot of jungle hohohoho".

Koda Maja - 2013-02-04

Someone please get a documentary crew to this man right now.

jangbones - 2013-02-04

I am an underemployed documentary filmmaker...I should write up a Kickstarter page for this project right now...

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-04

I'll donate if you do, no horseshit.

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-04

Get in touch with him fast, though, he could easily become a minor internet celebrity on strength of this, and you want to get him before that happens.

DriverStabby - 2013-02-05

So will I. You can find his Facebook on a variety of internet forums.

DriverStabby - 2013-02-05

("So will I" donate 20$ to you. Post the link to your kickstarter here. Or somewhere I can find it.)

ashtar. - 2013-02-04

Someone needs to give him a handheld camera, so he can vlog his journeys.

Millard - 2013-02-04

That look he has after saying "It's like the biggest wave I've ever ridden in my life" is amazing.

Millard - 2013-02-04

oh and

Kumquatxop - 2013-02-04

I would buy this dude a wetsuit

misterbuns - 2013-02-04

I like this Doctor better than Matt Smith.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-02-04

He would be pretty much the perfect companion, actually.

For anyone. Ever.

kingarthur - 2013-02-04

Agreed.

DriverStabby - 2013-02-05

RoUS

mon666ster - 2013-02-04

There needs to be footage of the incident he is describing.

chumbucket - 2013-02-04

Keep checking the Taiwanese animators websites.

Father Avalanche - 2013-02-04

My eyes kept getting bigger and bigger.

CJH - 2013-02-04

wait does living the life of a hitchhiking vagabond give you a crazy mismash of an accent, or is this one particular to kai?

misterbuns - 2013-02-04

He says he's 'straight outta dogtown' twice. Dogtown = Venice Beach in los angeles before it was corrupted by Santa Monica. So 80's to late 90's . There are still pockets of surf culture (of all ages) that identify with that time period and his language is a call back to that time.

CJH - 2013-02-04

i'm from socal, we don't sound like this guy. he sounds like a cross between cali, jersey and canada.

Racketeer - 2013-02-04

He says he's from Sophia, West Virginia, a town of 1,344 in the last census.

But seriously, this thing was amazing and wonderful and I hope Kai gets something positive in his life out of this experience.

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-04

The West Virgina accent is intense and unique, so that plus throwback surfer is bound to be weird.

badideasinaction - 2013-02-05

Oddly enough SoCal and Canadian aren't that far off from one another, if the sampling of co-workers and my travels in San Diego are any indication.

But seriously, holy shit for that story. I kept waiting for him to say he was just fucking with the news crew. Damn...

misterbuns - 2013-02-05

socal =! venice

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-09

Turns out he IS Canadian.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-02-04

HAHAHAHA. Oh man. Solid clip.

Crackersmack - 2013-02-05

4:42 - Apparently they still use school buses from the '60s in California. That's kind of awesome.

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-07

It's always weird leaving New England and seeing that there are vast stretches of the country where cars actually last more than a decade on the road.

DriverStabby - 2013-02-05

Not only a hero, a likable motherfucking human being. Best delivery of a tragic story in history.

I added him on Facebook. He's pretty rad.

Tasso - 2013-02-06

I used to be like you. Young, fresh, full of promise. Maybe you'll grow up to be doctors ro lawyers. But in this town you'll grow up to sell your body, or sell junk to crackheads. Or maybe you'll grow up to be like me.

A hobo with a shotgun.

BHWW - 2013-02-09

For once, a hatchet wielding drifter is the hero.

Hatman - 2013-02-14

The only thing that makes me sad for Kai is that six months from now this whole episode will barely be a half-remembered dream for him.

But Kai's heart is strong, and it will lead him in the right direction always.

morva - 2013-09-24

He's currently a suspect in a murder.
He's told the press he's innocent, but then posted this on his FaceBook page:

Caleb Kai Lawrence Yodhehwawheh
May 14
what would you do if you woke up with a groggy head, metallic taste in your mouth, in a strangers house... walked to the mirror and seen come dripping from the side of your face from your mouth, and started wretching, realizing that someone had drugged, raped, and blown their fuckin load in you? what would you do?
