I think this was the first Herzog film I ever saw... I read in an interview here that he made most of the stuff in the film up. It's typical of his pseudo-documentary form, where he uses the format to tell a mystical story about real life. Love him.

I loved Cave of Forgotten Dreams, but I kind of wished through the whole thing that Herzog would shut up. His narration was kind of pretentious.
