Trivia: one episode of this was written by Phil Harnage, the writer of the now-infamous Mario 3 episode "Mama Luigi".

I had no idea there was a television series. I just knew about the ten or fifteen direct-to-video sequels. In fact, the only reason the direct-to-video sequels finally stopped was because the animation studio responsible for them got shut down after it wasted fifteen years worth of man hours and spare money on the "Curious George" animated feature.

The original Land Before Time was actually a great animated family film. Or my childhood memories of Littlefoot's mom dying and Diana Ross singing tell me it was, anyway.
