The Boondocks is pretty much the most perfect animated show of our time (suck it, bronies). The comics started out great but kept plummeting downhill the longer Bush was in the White House, so I was pretty skeptical about the show at first. But it always delivered.

this show is one of my litmus tests for whether or not someone has a good sense of humor.

also the highlight of my collegiate career was presenting the famous, glorious, brilliant, go-watch-it-now-if-you've-never-seen-it martin luther king episode to a panel of civil rights era-age MLK scholars. it did not go over well.

I sincerely don't like this show much of the time. It's got some redeeming moments, and even entire episodes I thought were pretty great, but it's drunk on its own sense of righteousness. It's hit or miss with me and unfortunately its mostly miss. There are episodes out there for everybody though.
