Is it really that much more dangerous than going 60 on a motorbike? Particularly when comparing a boat with rescue crews on the nearby beach, to a motorbike on an average freeway.
I mean, I don't know. I know nothing about sailing. But it seems more fun than dangerous.
As a late Victorian gentleman recently arrived from the 1887, I will admit that I am quite impressed by the ingenuity and daring shown by these gallant young men. Quite impressed indeed. However, I must warn them to temper their Hubris with Caution! In my leisure time I keep abreast with the latest Academic Journals of Science and Engineering, and it is the opinion of Modern Science that Man's physiology simply can not survive the stresses and rigours of such speeds!

This is just like driving a motorcycle at 60 if the road could suddenly rise up and have you smash into a asphalt wall at 60mph. I love sailing, but I'd want proof this boat cold fly, never be upside down, and have more room than it looks like in the cockpit for me to duck. Water does not fuck around.
To get an idea of what it's like take your car out on a shitty, pothole'd dirt road and take it up to 60mph and enjoy...or drive along railroad tracks. Although railroad tracks aren't themselves on a surface that has a lot of local deviation.
