What is this shaking head icon that appears on my screen whenever I play this trailer?

Doomstein - 2012-11-14

As long as I don't have to drive Franklin's girlfriend to Lamaze class, or take her to the store to get some pork chops every 20 minutes...

Hooker - 2012-11-14

Yeah. I'm still baffled that they took out all the great side-games from San Andreas and put in an obnoxious fatso that calls you to to play darts five times a day and then gets depressed when you say no. Holy Christ is social contract minigame not even remotely what I want to spend time on.

Blue - 2012-11-15

The social contract minigame would have been awesome if it had just been some optional side missions. Why is it that the guys planning to burn down your apartment will patiently wait for your cue but none of your friends will?

Old_Zircon - 2012-11-14

Such a huge budget yet the character animation is still only marginally better than an NMA cartoon.

memedumpster - 2012-11-14

If they didn't reuse armature animations from game to game they'd be on Vice City by now.

TheOtherCapnS - 2012-11-14

Less realism should be just the ticket.

Shoebox Joe - 2012-11-14

This looks awesome. Hopefully they'll release it for PC. :(

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2012-11-14

Rockstar have left the fold brother, do not heed them!! D:

StanleyPain - 2012-11-14

I was about ready to hate GTA5 and then they not only bring back the classic GTA atmosphere but they're going to make all three characters playable which sounds kinda cool.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-11-14

Okay. I feel almost as excited as I was when I saw the San Andreas trailers all those years ago. I hope I'm not wrong.

Xenocide - 2012-11-14

I like the idea of having three protagonists. At least two of them seem genuinely interesting.

garcet71283 - 2012-11-15

I for one will only play as the Max Payne-alike and treat it as an epilogue to Max Payne 3.

sosage - 2012-11-14

I realize I am in the minority, but I really liked the character development/RPG element in San Andreas and thought it was effective. I found that everyone had their own unique interpretation of who the main character in San Andreas was because of it.

That's my rant on "what they did/didn't fuck up"/what I would put back into a modern GTA game.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-11-14

I agree with you.

What you wrote isn't really a rant, though.

StanleyPain - 2012-11-15

I didn't have a problem with it, but ultimately it seemed so passive. I mean, it's GTA..you're going to be doing an assload of running and shooting, so why a running and shooting stat?
Personally, I would like to see an Elder Scrolls style skill system that somehow allowed you to create a custom character more geared towards your playing style, like leveling up specific weapons or vehicle skills and whatnot.

Maru - 2012-11-15

I liked the cosmetic differences you could do. Everyone had the same character, but they'd all turn out a little different; some people's CJ were fat, thin, buff, they wore different clothes, hair, tattoos, stuff like that I liked a lot. Then Saints Row sodomized that whole concept, and now Rockstar won't ever go near it again even though they started it.

Blue - 2012-11-15

Saints Row 2's customizability should be the fucking standard.

StanleyPain - 2012-11-15

By the time I got to Las Venturas, my CJ was wearing nothing but underwear, leather chaps, and a kaiser helmet. And damnit, he finished the game that way.

jyrque - 2012-11-14

At least it doesn't look boring as fuck as GTAIV did.

lordyam - 2012-11-15

wait was that a dog! are there going be puppies in this?!

The world looks amazing, at least.
