Saw it in the theater.

Me too! Although, I was about 14 and really dumb.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-10-22

Second run. For a buck.

Way too much Rob Schneider content (the recommended amount of Rob Schneider content for a film being 0 percent).

Saw the recent DREDD and it wasn't bad, but it did lead to an unintentional moment of hilarity for me, I found a quote from some SA goon in their cinema forums, goons were carrying on about the lack of adverts and coverage for Dredd and thus it's terrible box office and one of them opined

"People seriously still rely on ads? This is easy to forget, but the people on this forum, for better or worse, are largely literati who keep their ears closer to the ground than a vast majority of Americans on a variety of media, issues, and news developments."

finding humor in the SA forums is like finding a delicious hamburger in the dumpsters behind a planned parenthood. surely there are more reliable sources.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-22

These grapes are so sour! Why won't I stop eating them?!

Riskbreaker - 2012-10-22

Aside from the goons that translate game center cx, nothing worthwile has ever come out of SA

I thought the recent movie got the tone and sets right, but everything else was meh. They couldn't have a single straight up bloody gunfight without ruining it with bullet time, smoke, or simulated flashbang shock.

The big thing was there was zero escalation to any of it. They have the same small shootout with small groups of thugs every 10 minutes, some gatlings shooting up walls in the middle, then a weak climax. Commando knew you opened with straight gun fights followed by neck snapping then dropping Sully then rocket launcher and finally murdering hundreds of soldiers. Even Tango & Cash knew to open up with gunshots then abuse of foreigners then prison electrocutions then monster trucks with gatling guns.

The best ultra violent Stallone reboot is still Rambo.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-22

This movie ruined the word 'law' for an entire generation.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-10-22

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii'm pretty sure that was Antonin Scalia. This merely bruised the concept a little.

LAAAAUUUGHGH

Nikon - 2012-10-22

I really enjoyed this movie. It's not a good movie but I really enjoyed it anyway.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-10-22

Forever Stallone!

Say what you will, he was the second best Rocky, after the cartoon squirrel.

FABIO - 2012-10-22

They took a story about a fascist cop in a fascist state, then ditched the entire premise in the first 10 minutes.

Did anyone else ever notice this was just a rehash of Demolition Man? Stallone is a loose cannon cop in the future teaming up with a chick cop and hack comedian sidekick to face his evil criminal counterpart, who has been let loose by the city's leader in order to eliminate obstacles to his political ambition until the criminal betrays and kills the leader but ultimately Stallone stops him before he can activate an army of like minded psychos.

At least Demolition Man had the humor a fish out of water in a neutered PC society. Someone decided it would be a good idea to copy Demolition Man then remove the one hook that made it worthwhile.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-23

It was even the same hack comedian sidekick.

Unless you meant Dennis Leary.
